Meet the Owner
Pablo Salerno is the founder and lead carpenter behind Casa Animal. Originally from Argentina, he moved to Mexico in search of new experiences. While working in hospitality, he nurtured a lifelong passion for woodworking—something he began developing hands-on while interning in the jungle of Tulum.
That passion led him to open his first small carpentry workshop. Like many starting out, he faced early challenges, including the loss of his shop in a hurricane. But with resilience and determination, he rebuilt it piece by piece.
Today, Pablo is known not only for his craftsmanship, but for the values that guide Casa Animal: quality materials, honest work, and a trustworthy team. His mission is to offer something different—custom furniture and carpentry solutions that last and give back, made locally by people who care.
As Casa Animal has grown, Pablo has found a way to unite his love for animals with his passion for carpentry. A portion of the workshop’s income supports the rescue and care of stray dogs and cats in Tulum. Whether it’s donating materials to community projects, partnering with rescue teams, or covering vet bills, Casa Animal is committed to giving back—one piece of furniture, and one life, at a time.
He continues to expand the workshop, taking on bolder projects with the same goal: to create pieces that inspire and make a lasting impact in the community.
